What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a common skin disorder, characterized by chronic redness and pimples. These develop along the neck, cheek, nose, eyelids, forehead, chest, and chin. Many people commonly mistake Rosacea for adult acne. If your condition affects your eyes or vision, please consult your physician. This can point to a more serious manifestation of Rosacea.

Specific symptoms include:

• Facial redness (in patches or the entire face)
• Burning and stinging sensations in the red areas
• A large amount of facial spider veins
• Irritated or bloodshot eyes
• A red bulbous nose
• Frequent flushing

Rosacea is more likely to affect women than men, and largely occurs between the ages of 30 and 60. While this condition is primarily cosmetic, it can severely impact your confidence and body image. While there is no cure for Rosacea, modern technology allows us to drastically reduce and even eliminate the visual facial symptoms.

How can it be treated?
DermaTouch RN employs the safest and most effective technology in our treatments. In cases of Rosacea, we use a medical grade IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) – a highly efficient laser. This allows us to minimize the surface capillaries, effectively reducing the facial flushing that leads to Rosacea outbreaks. Patients experience a noticeable difference after the just the first treatment.

Some people require more than one treatment. Depending on the severity of your condition, you may require 2 or more treatments. Additionally, Maintenance treatments may be required as your body rebuilds these small surface capillaries.
