Houston Laser Vein Treatment

It is not uncommon for men and women to experience enlarged, swollen, or highly visible veins. In some people, this can cause discomfort, impacting both their lifestyle and confidence. Studies have shown that roughly 50% of women and 45% of men are susceptible to varicose and spider veins.

Contributing factors include age, genetics, hormone changes, pregnancy, obesity, and sun damage. For many people, this appears frequently in the legs, as gravity and pressure alter the veins. Fortunately, technology has made strides in helping people achieve the visual changes they want and deserve.

DermaTouch RN has years of experience and many success stories for our leg vein treatment patients. We are proud to continue this tradition and make every effort to employ the latest and most effective equipment.

What are the benefits?
Our lasers are able to safely and quickly get rid of unwanted spider veins, broken capillaries, and varicose veins (up to 4mm in diameter). These lasers we use and our experienced technicians are able to provide a gentle and quick experience. All redness and bruising that are generally linked to traditional leg vein treatments are drastically minimized.

Unlike the dated and cheap machinery employed by some skin treatment centers, we are able to accommodate a wide variety of skin texture and colors.

How does it work?
The laser will send several bursts of energy into your skin. This energy is then absorbed by your blood's pigment, and ultimately collapses the targeted vein. Your skin will be protected through the hand-held device's cooling tip. This is a relatively non-invasive procedure and you can return to your daily routine.

When will I see results?
Depending on the severity of your vein and the location, this may take two or more treatments. During the healing process ends (between 2 and 8 weeks), the redness from the treated vessels will disappear. Throughout this time, you will see the appearance of your veins fade dramatically or even disappear completely.

How often can I have it done?
The general time period between treatments is 8 weeks. While most patients experience drastic improvement after two treatments, your situation may call for an additional treatment. Keep in mind that people respond differently to this treatment. Be sure to consult with your technician about any relevant medical history that can potentially affect your results and recovery. Additionally, you can help ensure the best outcome possible by following our after-treatment care instructions.

Are there any side effects?
After the treatment session is complete, you may experience some redness in the area that was treated. This redness generally disappears in a few days. Your treated area may also be swollen temporarily, a condition that lasts between a few hours to a few days. Some people may experience stunted hair growth in the area treated, an unintended side effect.

How long does it take?
Treatment sessions take between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on your target area's size and condition.

How much does it cost?
Our skin care clinic employs the LaserScope Lyra I. This allows us to target larger areas in shorter amounts of time, saving you money. A consultation with one of the experienced registered nurse technicians at DermaTouch RN will help you determine the cost involved. All bodies are different; we don't charge a flat fee for this service. A customized vein treatment plan will help you save money.
